With an audience of over five million families already, Learn to Read with Tommy Turtle is a charming educational game designed for preschool-aged children. The app encourages children to blend sounds into words, read and form simple words, identify spoken words, and learn word families.
It is divided into six sections:
- Magic Letter Bridge: Children learn to blend letter sounds into words by guiding Tommy the Turtle across the letter bridge.
- Skateboards and Helmet: Kids practice reading skills by helping Tommy's animal friends find their skateboards and helmets.
- Turn the Blocks: Children have fun creating words by rotating blocks with letters until the word is complete.
- Word Ball: Kids identify spoken words by assisting Tommy in hitting the correct ball.
- Word Magic: Children explore word families by filling the appropriate pot with potion to witness magic unfold.
- Rocket Words: Young learners engage in word family exercises as they construct and launch a rocket into space.
